Shri M.R.Kumar, took charge as Chairman, LIC of India on 14th March, 2019. He joined LIC of India in 1983 as a Direct Recruit Officer. In a career spanning more than three and a half decades, he has had the unique privilege of heading three Zones of LIC of India , viz, Southern Zone, North Central Zone and Northern Zone, head quartered at Chennai, Kanpur and Delhi, respectively. His rich experience working pan India, in different Zones and in different streams of insurance management has given him a deep insight into the demographics and insurance potential of the country. He also Chairs the Boards of domestic and international subsidiaries of LIC of India viz. LIC Housing Finance Ltd, LIC Mutual Fund AMC, LIC Pension Fund Ltd , LIC Cards Services Ltd, IDBI Bank Ltd as well as the Joint ventures on foreign soil viz. LIC (International) B.S.C.(c), Bahrain, LIC Lanka Ltd, LIC Nepal Ltd and LIC Singapore Pte. Ltd. He is also Director on the Board of the Kenindia Assurance Ltd,a which is Life and Non life Insurance Company , based at Kenya.

Shri Vipin Anand assumed charge as Managing Director of LIC of India on 1st April, 2019. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director, he held the positions of Zonal Manager-In Charge of LIC’s Western Zone, Mumbai and East Central Zone, Patna. Earlier, as Executive Director in charge, he has been corporate head of LIC’s Direct Marketing, Corporate Communication and International Operations. Shri Vipin Anand joined the Life Insurance Corporation as Direct Recruit Officer of 12th Batch in 1983. During his service of more than 35 years with LIC, Shri Anand has handled with great success several important assignments in various capacities and departments, in operations as well as at the corporate level, ranging from Information Technology, Marketing, and Personnel& Industrial Relations to Corporate Communications and International Operations, across different geographical locations of the country. He was also a member of the IRDAI committee for framing Regulations on Digital Marketing and is currently a member of the CII Committee on Insurance and Pensions. Shri Anand is a Science graduate and has received training from INSEAD Singapore, FALIA, Stephen Covey Institute, ISB Hyderabad, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Lucknow, Institute of Public Administration- (RTI)Bangalore and National Insurance Academy-Pune besides attending several seminars in India and abroad. Shri Vipin Anand is currently on the boards of Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited, LIC Cards Services Ltd, LIC HFL Care Homes Ltd and LIC Bangladesh Ltd . He has also served on the boards of Bhushan Steel Limited and CDSL-CIRL. He enjoys challenging assignments and experimenting with new ideas.

Shri Mukesh Gupta, Managing Director of Life Insurance Corporation of India, was born at Kota (Rajasthan) in the year 1961. He joined the Corporation in 1984 as a 13th Batch Direct Recruit Officer. He holds a degree of Bachelor of Science from University of Rajasthan and MBA in Human Resources Management. He has over 36 years of rich and diverse leadership experience in every facet of life insurance industry. Shri Mukesh Gupta also holds the following prestigious positions: o Director on the Board of LIC Cards Services Limited o Director on the Board of LIC (Nepal) Limited o Director on the Board of LIC Mutual Fund Trustee Company Private Limited o Nominee Director on the Board of DCM Shriram Industries Limited o Trustee of LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation o Member of the Governing Board & Academic Cuncil of National Insurance Academy, Pune o Deputy President & member of Board of Education, Administrative Committee and Council of Insurance Institutue of India He has also been a Director on the Board of couple of companies. He has previously handled several significant assignments, in various capacities in LIC of India, such as Executive Director (Personnel), Zonal Manager (Central Zone), Executive Director (Bancassurance & Alternate Channels) Director (Management Development Centre), Principal (Zonal Training Centre), Regional Manager ( Marketing) of the biggest Zone i.e. Western Zone, Chief (Marketing). As Senior Divisional Manager, he headed two prestigious divisons of LIC viz.Hyderabad & Amritsar. Shri Mukesh Gupta has attended number of certification & training programmes, both within India & overseas, which includes training program of FALIA (Foundation for the Advancement of Life & Insurance around the world), session on Leadeship in Public Sector Banks and Financial Institutions conducted by IIM Ahmedabad, Executive Coaching by Marshal Goldsmith conducted by ISB Hyderabad and Marketing Strategies in turbulent times conducted by ISB Hyderabad. Shri Mukesh Gupta is an avid reader and his areas of interest are music & travelling.

Sh. Rakesh Kumar joined LIC in 1984 as a 13th Batch Direct Recruit officer. He has done his Masters in Physics from St.Stephens College of Delhi University. In his long illustrious career he has worked in many Zones and States and handled several important assignments including Sr. Divisional Manager of Varanasi Division and Delhi DO-II. In 2010 he was posted in East Central Zone as RM (P&IR) and later as RM (Marketing). He was given the charge of Personnel Department of North Zone from 2013-15 before taking over the reins of the prominent Marketing Department as RM (Marketing) North Zone in 2015. From 2017 to 2019 he held position of ED (B&AC), Mumbai. He has taken charge as Chief Executive, LIC Cards in July 2019. His hobbies include swimming, badminton and reading.
